Engine trouble? 1994 Volvo 960 900

Hi, I hope someone can help me.
My '94 volvo 960 wagon (B-6304-S motor, 2.9 liter, 201 HP, 273,000 miles) is running real bad! It seems like it is running on 4 cylinders or 5. It started all of a sudden. Had been running pretty good.
I replaced the plugs, cleaned the flametrap, cleaned the air filter, checked for any bad vacuum hoses, sprayed the throttle body with cleaner, put in fuel injector cleaner, some dry-gas, and refilled the gas tank. So I have been over it but it still hasn't helped.

What can I try next? And where can I find out about the diagnostic "thingy" under the hood of the car?...lol...(I don't know what it is called). I would like to know how to use that and get a manual for it.

thanks, eric
