How do I disconnect the fuel injectors from the fuel lines? 200 1984

I'm wanting to replace the injector seals on my 84 245 turbo w/IC. It's the kjet CI system. Bentley says to disconnect the fuel lines from the injectors before removing the retainers/injectors. The only thing I see to do is to loosen the nut at the end of each fuel line but when I try that I just end up twitsting the metal line fuel as well as the nut (which can't be good). What am I missing? Also, do I need to relieve fuel line pressure before disconnecting the lines at the injectors?
Thanks in advance!
