The way it should work is you take a wrench, I prefer a crow foot wrench, and turn the nut to the left and it loosens right up. The gold colored metal piece ontop of it is supposed to anchor the injector and keep it from spinning when you tighten it or loosen it. With time and multiple times in and out the little retainers tend to loose their ability to do so. What has worked for me in the past has been to jam a little slot head screwdriver in through the openings in the retainer piece. Get it in their so it indexes on one of the flats for the injector and then pop the nut loose. Once you have the line off completely remove the socket head screw that is holding the retainer to the head and then pull out the injector and injector cup assembly. I use a set of long needle nose pliers that are round on the end for grabbing hoses. They will offer some resistance but you should be able to pull them out without too much trouble. With them out take the retainer off and bend the little ears over so it will hold your injector as it should. I always use a little silicone lubricant around the seals both big and small and I have a special brush that is made for cleaning the holes in the head that it all mounts in. Clean these holes really well regardless of what you use and be careful because it is more or less an open hole to your cylinder. If you drop anything small down that hole it will not be a pretty sight.
