I wouldn't suspect the pre pump... 200 1988

... because it works in, and draws from, a surge/splash well about the size of a gallon jug. The fuel in that well stays relatively stable when the rest of the fuel sloshes away in a turn.

Like Aye Roll, I think an electrical problem due to engine torque roll (right), accenuated by Left turn centrifugal force, would be more likely. Especially if aggravated by a separated Left mount, which is often the case.

I've seen cars run for some time with a dead prepump. Not good for the Main pump, they say -- but not apt to cause a turn-related hiccup either, IMO.
