removal of torque converter, auto tranny 200 1989

240 auto 89 b230f 200K miles

tackled the rear crank seal job today.

All is out except the torque converter. I can;t get it out, tried knocking all around hard, grabbing it with both hands and shaking while pulling, etc.

Q: It`s an auto, is the flywheel part of the torque converter or not?
I belive the t c should slide off the shaft, and then I would have a bolted flywheel to attend to, is this true?

I need this info to know where to pry!

Really, 30 minutes to remove tranny, 2 hours later the tc is still there. I need help.
