Speedometer not working, Help! 200 1978

Recently bought a 244 and am in the process of fixing it up. One of my problems is that the Speedometer and the odometer are not working. I have already been given a link for getting a gear to fix the odometer (thanks brickboard), but now I need to fix the speedo! My first guess is that it is the speedometer cable, but could it be anything else? Thank you all for any help that you can give me!
