Front and rear seats 140-160

The style of seats in the 144GL were the same in all the 164 models up through 1974. In 1975, Volvo introduced a new seat design that was not as attractive in my opinion. Also, the back seats should fit in the 140 and 160 (wagons excluded)series without any problem with little or no modification. The front seats mounted differently in the later 140 and 160 models so some modification may be required to install them.

Even though the 1975 model had a different style seat, I did use the seats from an earlier 164 because I like the style much better. I reupholstered them in 100% leather...fronts, backs, sides and the headrests too. Well worth the extra effort and money. I never cared for those new style headrests in the 1975 + models.
