Help!! --Trying to track down an electrical gremlin

So when you pull out Fuse #8 and then put a voltmeter to the two contacts you get a reading of 3 volts. Is that what you are doing?

If not, describe exactly where you are putting the voltmoter probes and what the things disconnected are, and I may be able to help.

My Wiring Diagram book for the 1983 240 shows that Fuse #8 powers the power antenna, Interior lights, glove box light, trunk light, engine bay light, clock, and central locks. Any on of those could be your drain. Wiring in the central lock system inside the driver's door has been know to give problems.

Good Luck,

Bob
