Buying Across the Border 120-130

Joe,
Glad you found another old swede. About four years ago I brought an amazon in Canada. The previous owner left the plates on the car for me. We filled out the sellers paperwork. When I got to the border, I showed them our hand written receipt that the car was just sold to me. The agent smiled and said "move it, it's dripping oil". I got home and mailed the plates back to the seller in Canada.
No problems. I also called my insurance company before we left to make sure I was covered for the trip.

good luck.
-Erik
