New Volvo Owner 900 1994

Well, not exactly.. a couple of years ago I bought a 2001 V70 at the auction in Vegas. I planned to give it to one of my kids, but they all turned their noses up at it. So, I drove it for a year. Then one of my kids' wives saw the light and decided she wanted it. Now she loves it.

So, I had a chance to pick up a 94 940 wagon for a song at a local salvage auction. It was a donation. 'couldn't pass it up. It has a dropped valve seat in #3. Where is a good source for a rebuilt head?

This may seem like a dumb question, but what is the difference between the 700 series and the 900 series? They look the same to me. What parts interchange?

My seats are a little worn. Will seats from a sedan work in a wagon? And door panels?

On a personal note... in case any one is interested... I live in Utah in the summers and Vegas in the winters. (I'm retired) Fixing up old cars is a hobby for me. I hang around salvage auctions and pick up interesting cars. I'm thinking of putting a Ford 302 in this 940. My Saleen has one in it with about 500 hp. I could build a better one for the Saleen and use that one in the Volvo. I read where Paul Newman has a supercharged 302 in his 960.

If anybody here is local to me and needs parts, drop me a line. We'll go to the salvage auction and buy one we can share parts off of. I could use an engine and seats right now.

Greetings to all.
Richard in Provo
