b20 assembly questions. 140-160 1974

Numbers on side of rod and cap go to which side of the engine?

IOW: When reassembling the pistons and connecting rods, is there an indicator which way the rods should go?

There are numbers on the side of the rod and the cap that match up, but do they go on the right or the left of the engine. This I didn't mark when taking it apart, and the engine shop pused out the wrist pins.

Also, the #4 wrist pin is quite stiff, in the rod and the piston. I assume that will loosen a little without damage, but I'm just asking if that's a potential problem.

By the way, a large hose clamp seems to work fine as a ring compressor.
