installing vent window rubber 120-130

Does anybody have any tips for installing vent window rubber pieces? Already have the rivets, problem at this point is trying to get the rubber in position, a whole bunch more difficult than I thought it would be.

Is there any particular section of rubber I should work on first? Should I use dishwashing soap or something to help get the rubber slippier to get into the groove of the frame? Do I stick one side of rubber into frame, then push other end in with plastic edge? I'm totally lost with this project, any advice appreciated.
