Brake booster out.Can I rebuild? 900 1996

I have a 96 960 and the Brake Booster just went out(magor vacum leak inside when pedal pushed). Looking at 518.00 @ dealer. Would like to know if it can be rebuilt or any places to get a after market replacment. My local auto parts dealers can not get them or want me to remove and ship it off to be rebuilt. Its an 8" booster. Thanks John
