Front Wheel Bearings 200 1990

I'm about to undertake my first front wheel bearing replacement on my 90 240. I bought bearing kits for each wheel because I don't know what shape they're in and figured I'd just replace inner and outer bearings. i've never even re-packed bearings before, so i'm a little nervous about doing such a safety related job. I'm not mechanically handicapped or anything, just looking for a little support and advice. I have the Hayne's manual, but the help is so minimal. I've received so much great help from the brickboard in the past, and i know all of you won't let me down. So, any hints or advice will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance, The Dog Hauler.
