Late model 240 power steering accessory bushing orientation 200 1992

Hello all:

I am wondering about the correct orientation of the power steering accessory bushings (the ones near the AMM). I popped the old worn out ones out, but I can't remember the orientation that they were in-- I seem to remember the front one (closest to the radiator) having the thick end facing the rad and going into the bracket from the front of the car. I am not so sure anymore about how the rear bushing sat. I am guessing it went in from inside the bracket with the thick end also facing the front of the car. Is this correct?

I have assembled it this way and the pump runs with no noise now, but the bushings don't appear to be fully seated with the shoulders of the the thick ends tight against the bracket.

Just to reiterate, this is a '92 with the late model rectangular integral reservoir.

Any help on this would be appreciated!
