Aluminium Polishing and Refinishing 140-160

I posted an earlier question in regard to the refinishing of aluminium parts on my 1975 164E. After some experimenting, I successfully refinished the grille badge and sash to a blinding shine. The problem with these parts was that the protective film had hazed and chipped away due to stones and other road film. I started with a 320 grit wet sandpaper and progressed to 400 grit. I then polished it with Eagle 1 chrome and aluminium polish then finished it off with Eagle One Never Dull. Man what a difference. Not only does it shine, but I was able to blend the front to the sides without having to strip the whole sash. It really came out nooking better than new...just wish I had a new badge to top it off.
Any requests for photos...just e-mail me.
