intermittent instability of idle 200 1990

244 w/195,000 miles.
I am under the hood manually revving the B230 engine to 2000RPM, every 4-8 seconds the idle will have slight drop off of 50-75 RPM.
WaHHHHHHHHHerWaHHHHHHHHHHHerWaHHHHHHHHHHHHerWaHHHHHHHHH...
Where do I begin to check? It seems maybe all fuel injectors cuts down fuel delivery, juice to new plugs drops out or something.
I own a 1993 944 with the same motor and it doesn't do this.

Any advice appreciated,
