Which Trim Fasteners Do I Need? 120-130

I am in the process of putting my 1969 two door (123GT) back together after major body repair (rust repair) and painting. I am confused as to which fasteners (clips) to use to attach the so called waistline trim (the aluminum trim just below the side windows).

The 1969 parts catalog I have on CD and other sources such as Swedish Classics show the following:

- clip part # 192458 (26 per vehicle)
- rivet part # 192459 that goes with clip above
- alternate rivet # 659654

There is an additional clip that was identified for model years 1969-1970 as part # 654585.

CVI's new catalog shows the following:

- clip part # 192458 with rivet as being for model year to 1966
- clip part # 654585 as being for 1967 on.

I'd appreciate some advice as to what I need for my 1969 model....the clip (192458) with rivet or the plastic clip (654585). Can I use either one? Does the plastic clip have no rivet?

Thanks for your advice.

Jerry
