How cold does your A/C blow?? 700

On my 89 740 GL the AC will blow 40* F at the vents. It is a recent retrofit to R 134A with a new condenser and OEM Diesel Kiki compressor.
The retrofit used Volvo parts and a VOV variable orifice tube. If it is 85* outside closer to 45 or 48* at the vent. Is is not ice cold but makes it pleasant inside the car after a few minutes.

My BMW 325is blows 30* at the vent and is ice cold but controlable.

Wondering what others are getting??
