940 SE Saga

As stated in earlier posts, I lost the water and toasted the engine. the head is damaged and at least one piston is melted. I took some pictures and will post later when I take out number 1 piston to see what other damage has been done.

I went and purchased a motor from ASAP in Houston. These engines come from Japan and have low mileage, at least that is what I was told. I received the motor from ASAP in Houston this week. The tag says it is a B230FT 91 940. I was told the engine had around 48,000 miles and came with the turbo, which is not a Garrett. I plan on using the Garrett T25 on this engine. The information stamped in the block is B230FT 1289081 01701. At least that's the best I can make out. My question is there a source that would tell me when this engine was made? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks
