Crankcase Ventilation Hose @ oil pan area question 200 1988

The hose is fine. It get stiff with the heating and cooling over time. If you want to remove it is best to remove the breather box and the oil pump and then pull it down from the crankcase side, the top of the hose should be soft. You are not going to be able to pull it up from the breather box side if stiff.
If you don't have illustrations of this part and how is installed, make some notes to make sure it is installed correctly, before removing it.
