1989 VOLVO WAGON ACCIDENT 140-160 1989

MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING MY 1989 240 VOLVO WAGON AND GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT,
THANK GOODNESS NO ONE WAS HURT. SHE WAS T-BONED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR BUMBER, NOT SURE IF I WILL HAVE TO SCRAP THE CAR. After the accident WHEN I TRY AND START THE CAR NO RESPONSE FROM THE IGNITION AND STARTER, DASH IDIOT LIGHTS COME ON, BUT NOT EVEN A CLICK. IS THERE SOME KIND OF ELECTRICAL SHUT OFF SWITCH WHEN THESE CARS GET HIT IN THE REAR?
PLEASE ADVISE AND THANKS.
