Hey John,
Thanks for your advice. It was not so bad to remove the instrument cluster to check the bulb. It turned out not to be the bulb, but after tracing the circuit back from the Alternator to the bulb I found an open solder joint on the back of the instrument cluster. I fixed it with a wire to cover a bridge that was open on the printed circuit ribbon, and everything works! Thanks
