Sensor Question 200

"I find my coolant sensor pretty much disintigrated. Just a plug in the block without the spade connector and the ceramic section."

If your car is an '85 (easy to indicate on the subject line), that could be the temp gauge sensor (spade connector), which is in the head, below the #2 intake runner.

But if it really is in the block in that area, it's the Knock sensor for the Ignition control unit.

The Engine Coolant Temp (ECT) sensor for the Fuel Injection is in the head and hard to get at under the #3 runner. It has a 2-pin Bosch connector.
