I was thinking a similar thing when I posted the offer about the hub puller. However, being a relatively new voice here on the Brickboard I wasn't sure of the level of in-volvo-ment (sorry...) that members felt comfortable with. Advice and knowledge are invaluable. Tools, an extra pair of hands and eyes, and somone else who speaks Volvo working on a common problem can become quite indispensible as well. I suppose this is what the clubs are for...
Here's something: I've been into Volkswagons since I was 16 (more years than I care to publish). One of the things that the VW affinity groups got together, specifically the Type2 (VW bus) lists, was a website called A.I.R.S.---The Aircooled Internet Rescue Squad. It's a database of people across the country (worldwide now) who are willing to offer various helps, advice, places to stay, tools, phones, etc. for those Volkswagon owners who encounter emergencies on the road. It's completely up to each member of the list how much they feel they are able to offer at any particular time.
Check it out here:

Perhaps something like this for classic (and maybe not so classic) Volvos? We've all got great resources in our experience, tool shop, etc. Even those who just have alot of "go-get-um" (something I could use more of some days...)
Thoughts?
