Timing Gear Trouble. 120-130

Thanks to all for the quick diagnosis. I pulled the timing cover off today and found the fibre gear loose and ready to fall off. Just for interest, I got the Cloyes aluminum set for $177 Canadian...the original fibre was going for $310!! Had to make the parts guy look for it, but it should be worth the wait (about 3 weeks).

In the mean time, How the heck do I get the hubs off. The crank hub won't budge and short of taking a grinder to it, I can't think of how to remove it without damaging it (I've tried heat, prying (nothing to grab), and prayer (well, cursing actually). Ditto with the cam hub (the splined remainder of the fiber gear). I don't want to do anyting foolish, I have the timing marks lined up and don't want to disturb them.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Craig
