'83 240 engine harness replacement problem

I replace the engine harness with a used one yesterday but every time I go hook up the battery the starter kicks in... I have a brown wire to 15 on the coil, a wire with blue tape to the throttle switch, yellow-blue to the lower spade on the starter,....I have unhooked various sensor wires... still the same results... I am a little over my head here.. Any help would be appreaciated...Thanks, RB
(This may be a double post..I had some problems posting the first time... not my day...and it's still early)
