HELP ! Buying a 1990 740 Gl Wagon ? 700

I am thinking of buying a 1990 740 GL Wagon with 200,000 miles on it. I had a 1988 740 GLE Wagon but sold it several months ago. My question is : are the 1990 740 GL engines the same as the 88 740 I had. It had the B230F non-turbo. The 1990 740 Gl has the 230F non-turbo. Are ther any diferences beteen the two ? Engine layout, Auto Trans , and so on ? Generally speaking is it as good as my 88 was ? The seller wants 1900.00 or BO. what do you think ?
