Control Pressure Regulator News for all Volvos with a CPR installed 200

Hello All,

A mate of mine showed me the inner workings of a Control Pressure Regulator.

Rust and scale deposited, inside, due to the crap in the gasoline. He suggested to avoid filling up when a Fuel Tanker has just made its delivery, because it stirs up all the crap and water, up to 300 gallons, normally resting on the bottom of the Service Stations in-ground tanks. If not, then where did the Rust and tea-kettle-like Scale come from? And, the little heater or Coil on the Brass Lever that modulates the pressure was defective and had an incorrect Ohm reading.

Cold Start Problems, Hot Start Prolems, Mixture Too Rich, et all. No wonder.

It might be worthwhile to get your CPR replaced with an overhauled or new one or just keep replacing them with wrecking yard ones, until you get one that works.

Just thought you would like to know.
