Hissing Noise driving me mad! S90-V90

My 1997 V90 with SC805 CD player is still hissing. As soon as you put the key around to enale electrics to work the hissing starts and doesnt stop until the key is taken out. It comes through the speakers and is a right pain in the you know what. Its not an overloud hiss as if I turn the stereo up you cant hear it any longer but as soon as I have it quieter or turn the stereo off it becomes very very apparent. What could it be and what can I do!
