A/C 200

Hi
my 82' 245's AC blows kinda cold. I took it in to the shop and had it recharged, or filled, or whatever they do, and it helped a little. it still doesn't blow all that cold though. After running the AC for a while it starts dripping what looks like water from under the dash by the passenger's feat. The AC knob that turns clockwise does not seem to effect the temp. I assume it's a temp control? Is the red when when the knob is turned all the way to the right for heat? Or is it a warning not to turn the AC too high This is my first Volvo and we're still getting to know eachother:)
