164 Headliner replacement options 140-160

Hi Bob

Replacing headliners usually requires a professional. Check with your local auto upholstery shops for some estimates. I do upholstery work and they can be tricky. IPD sells some headliner kits so check with them on availability

I also have a '75 164E and mine was coming down in a few places. I used a large syringe (one I got from a doctor friend at a hospital) and squirted some glue up under the headliner and re-glued it. I used Simple Green to clean my darkened headliner and it cleaned it up beautifully and it is white and looks new again.
