How to pull distributor gear? 140-160 1974

On very 'experienced' engines there can be a buildup of crud on the shaft below the bushing that can make it tend to stick as you pull it out. Just keep pulling and turning (because of the slanted gears) with pliers. Be careful, though. I broke part of the lip off mine once yanking on it with vice grips.
