Worn u-joint? 700 1990

My 90 740 has been doing exactly the same thing for a while, I thought I actually broke something yesterday pulling away up a steep hill with a couple passengers... god-awful shuddering... I suspect the rear u-joint, the rear end will normally deflect a little bit under initial acceleration & I think that is just enough to bring out the worst in an otherwise marginal u-joint. No vibration once it's rolling above 15-20mph. Not sure though...I'll be dropping the driveshaft down this weekend to investigate further. I'll post my findings. To the few of you out there with vibration-free 700s, wish us luck!
