Driving lights power rating 140-160 1971

Currently I've got halogen H4 bulbs rated at 60W/55W, but you get nice 90W bulbs. So I am wondering if someone has run these higher powered bulbs on the stock wiring for some time without melting insulation and/or connectors and/or the rubber boot that fits over the rear of the lamps? Not worried about the fuse, can sort that out, just about the insulation. Thanks.
