1997 960 Service/Repair Issues (long post) S90-V90 1997

I've been completely through the front suspension on my 96 with alot less miles than you have. I still have an issue with the brake pulsing after new rotors as well. The front suspension clunk could be the aft lower control arm bushing as you suspect, they aren't that difficult to change but I opted for new units from FCP Groton. The squeak you describe when the front suspension is actuated sounds like the sway bar links. Again FCP Groton. I'm beginning to suspect a bad hub bearing for my brake problem as I've already tried repacking the bearing. I replaced the struts and ball joints as well, now I've noticed a leak at the steering rack. Looks like I'll have a new one shortly. Good luck, let us know what you find. BTW you can go to volvotechinfo.com and access the manuals online for a fee.
