122-145 compatability 120-130

The brake parts between a disc and brake rear end won't swap. The rear axles of an 1800 are an easier swap, but putting in a complete 140 rear axle would involve some cutting and welding of a structural nature. I once put a 142E rear axle in a '62 122S I had, it wasn't a terribly difficult task. had to remove and replace the panhard rod mount (on opposite sides IIRC) and cut and splice the top rear link. Then a little minor tinkering with the brake lines and brake cables.
