Some time ago I asked Volvo for the cost of a repair manual for my '97 960. Ha! The answer was thousands of dollars for a library of manuals. Well! I went to eBAY and bought a CD for about $15 bucks and I also bought a Chilton manual--both were awful for information gathering; so recently I bought a CD of the vidas system--that was a chore as it only ran under Win2000 pro; so I have invested $300 in windows 2000 pro and the vidas system; better but sadly short of the "green books." and very restrictive: for example: you can only print a small size blowup of the parts and the displays are really poor in pixel quality and also there is little "how it works" info.
Now the question: " Anybody know of a good CD(s) thst contains the repair manuals that runs under WinXP/Adobe or Word or some simple word-processing program? I would think Volvo (now Ford) would consider this as a revenue source and provide the manuals on CD. Comments?
