replace front brake caliper bolts 200

A friend is going to help me replace front rotors & pads on my 1988 245 wagon. The rotors are definitely worn so I'm just replacing them, probably .02 to .03 depth material removed on them!

Bentley states that you have to replace the caliper mounting bolts whenever you remove the calipers. Is that correct?

Also, how easily can we just tie up the calipers with wire or something to avoid opening the brake lines?

Anything else we should watch out for?

I have not worked on brakes before. My friend has though not on a Volvo.

Thanks,

Mike
