122-145 compatability 120-130

Hi. I put a lockheed brake booster taken from a Hillman Imperial car. It is ok as replacement of the original Girling booster (also rebuild kits are available for the lockheed). But, after splicing my brake system using a double master cylinder (due local regulations), the servo works only with the front brakes. Also my bracket is a bit overmade (http://www.volvoadventures.com/121JoaquinPeru1021.jpg).

So far, it work fine.

Of course, the Girling was the booster for the single brake system on earlier amazons. Former amazons use a servo located before the brake cylinder, like the 1800.

Happy volving
