Overheated my engine, may need a new one. Ouch! 200

Long story short, engine got red hot, could not stop, now car is dead. Before it shut off I could hear a clanking sound, head or pistons.I will be doing more testing in a few days. Two questions.First, the car restarted a few times but now I have no spark from coil, maybe power stage, amplifier? Also which year b230f will be an exact fit, meaning all wiring, senders, electronics will match the current car besides another 1990 engine.I found a 91 740 engine b230 with 59k on it. Will this be an easy swap. You don't know how upsetting this is.And I just put a new fuel pump and computer in this car!It may take me a while but I have to fix this car.Body black and beautiful, interior tan and like new.Bilsteins,IPD sways, refinished Coronas, new tires, all new bushings.Man this sucks and I only have myself to blame.
Sorry for the rant and thanks for your help.
Nelson
