AW-71 tranny from '94 944t to '86 745t 700

My wife has an '86 745t w/AW 71 tranny, which is leaking for the last time.
I've located a low mileage '94 944t AW 71 at my local U-Wrench-It, and want to know if it will fit, or what changes are needed. The '94 has a ball bearing output flange bearing; '86 doesn't. The '94 driveshaft is rubber cushioned, too, I think.
Obviously the '94 flange can't be changed, but will the '94 flange fit the '86 drive shaft? Or, if needed, will '94 driveshaft fit '86 rear axle flange?
How about the bell housing to engine, and converter plate to converter?
Thanx much for any and all help!

Hope someone out there has at least some of these answers.
