engine options 1800 1971

I have a '70 p1800 I'd like to put a different engine in. I will have about $6,000 to work with, professional install and all. I'm not HP crazy so a v8 isn't necessary, but I do need an automatic. The less major cutting the better. Does anyone have ideas, I would need a complete breakdown of what I'd need to get (trans, etc..) Thanks.
