sunroof headliner 700

I don't yank the pan, OR the main headliner for that matter.

I just raise the back of the sunroof, release the sliding sunroof headliner clips, slide the liner back, remove the sunroof panel (4 bolts in back, 4 in front on the hinges.

NOW pull the sunroof crank (you can leave the gear box attached) OR the motor if electric.

Then pull the 6 bolts holding the front worm gear cover (the part that the wind deflector is mounted to. Then lift the cover enough to turn it so that the wind deflector 'arms' can be removed via the slots.

Then pull the 10 screws holding the track to the pan (5 on each side. Then have a friend help and pull the rail / worm gear assembly up and forward out of the top of the sunroof hole.

Full removal and replacement usually takes me about 30 minutes.

DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE AIR DEFLECTOR 'ARMS' BACK UNDER THE TRACK BEFORE BOLTING IT BACK TO THE PAN!!!!
