Jersey shore junkyards? 200

My idea of a great junkyard is one in which you can wander in with a box of tools, take what you need and drag it all to the counter for a final tally. That's how it is in much of the country. I don't think it works that way in Jersey anymore. The fantastic pic-a-part deal is one I've never experienced.

That said, there are a couple of places to try for used parts. Tilton Auto Recycling is in Lakewood, not so far from Brick, (732)363-1217.

One I've heard of as having decent inventory is Cosmo's. Their website:

The yards in Monmouth County seem to cluster around Texas Rd. in Morganville, as was already mentioned. There's a place in Wall that sounds pretty intriguing, but I haven't investigated yet.
You'd think a scrounge like me would know this stuff...
