Pop! ..goes the clutch cable.. 700 1985

..is the replacement of the clutch cable as simple as it looks on my 85 740 M46?

It broke on the fork side (under car) , the little cylinder on the end popped off. Thankfully it happened as I was pulling in to work and preparing to head out of town tommorrow. It looks like I can put the new one in in the parking lot, adjusted enough to get it home, a short distance away, then properly set it....I walked around in the rain and picked up the brass and rubber shims off the road, so I still got the parts!

Is it as easy as I'm hoping? Never had to deal with this before!

Also, is there something on this in the FAQ? I looked around and couldn't find it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Josh
