960 camshaft alignment problem update 900

Well, my Saturday was shot to heck, but I got humpty dumpty back together again. Thanks to Mark, who pointed me in the right direction, to find the crankshaft timing mark. Man, that thing is small. By the way, it did line up with the mark on the pulley. I don't know if that was just co-incidence or what, but if it helps someone down the line.

Anyway, after much trepidation, I got the nerve to turn the key and crank the engine. Wow, it started and ran. Only time will tell if it will hold up, but so far so good.

Many thanks again to everyone on this forum. I could not have completed this job (I could'nt have even started it) without your invaluble assistance.
