My Delco Remy 55 amp alternator has been cheap only in cost. Been working great for years, no problems whatsoever. Recently purchased a second one (around $65) to put into Dinero the sedan. Only problem: I voided my warranty on the alternator; in order to fit unit, I had to cut some metal off of mounting bracket. This allowed me to mount the thing directly to the ear on my block. Both cars did not need any special bracket.
