?Have sound 85 turbo wagon...have some questions 700

I have a sound 85 turbo wagon. I would like to keep this car running for a long time. Even consider restoring it to some degree. Is it possible? I mean the interior in these cars dont hold up all that well. My dash is cracked, leather seats are old and cracked. Door covering is coming un glued and covering on wall were the seatbelt rest is also coming off. Head liner is toast. Body is in great shape other than 20 year old paint job. Motor is sound. Needs O/D work on the manual trans. Should I just drive this car until the turbo or trans gives out or can I over time actually fix this car up?
Thanks,
Will
