headliner and sunroof compatability

OK guys,
Yesterday I pulled out my headliner out of my 90 740, and its sitting in the living room. Ready to be redone. Then i got the idea:
-what about a 940 (circa 1995) headliner, should swap right in, the roof structure looks similar.
-and then i could get a moonroof assy. and put that in too, that way the headliners would match.

called volvo dissasembly atlanta, and headliner - $95 moonroof- $275. He says they wont fit and will only allow exchange not return. I need to be certain this works. If could return it i would just buy and report back to yall, buy this guy is a piece of work.
will the headliner fit? what about the sunroof assy?
